FAQ

Translation FAQs
  1. How do you ensure the quality of your translations?

  2. I strive to consistently deliver the highest quality of work. To accomplish this goal I never accept translations in fields I am not familiar with, and before submitting the work I run a spell check and do a final grammar check and proofread of my translation. I also thoroughly research the topic of concern.

It also does not hurt that I am married to a native Japanese speaker who is a living dictionary.

  3. How fast can you translate documents?

  4. For Japanese to English translations, it normally takes me 1 day to translate 3500-4000 characters.

  5. Are you available for questions after the work is submitted?

  6. You can contact me any time. I will make sure that you are satisfied with the work and will answer any questions you may have. I also welcome feedback and pointers.

  7. What types of files do you accept?

  8. I accept Word, PDF, Excel, Power Point, handwritten documents, audio files, as well as HTML, PHP, and DLL files. I can deliver the final work in the original format or one of the aformentioned formats.

  9. Can you do a sample translation?

  10. Certainly. However, please don't put tight deadlines on sample translations.
